David McClellan

Born in the Blue Ridge Mountains of West Virginia, and raised by bluegrass musicians, David was heavily influenced by the Appalachian sounds of the 70's and 80's that permeated through the hills. He spent his youth moving around the country, hardly calling one state his home.

Finding himself in Texas as an adult, he joined his family's bluegrass band, never straying far from his east coast roots, pickin' and singin' tunes from the likes of the Country Gentlemen and the Seldom Scene.

He then took his dog and guitar to Arizona, dragging with him the red-dirt sounds of West Texas and the Hill Country. He found his home in a small mountain town, connecting with down-to-earth artists, vagrants, hippies, bikers and plenty of out-of-luck musicians. He spent many nights making friendly folk smile through his music, be it at bar, a festival or around a campfire.

David now calls Colorado his home, never too far from the mountains and never too far from his guitar. Continuing to share soothing songs of plight through his voice-forward style and acoustic picking, no crowd, big or small, has walked away disappointed.
